1) [ During a lull in the battles, Shion can be found sitting on a bench in the Foundry District with a large, blocky weapon fastened to her arm. Apparently there is a lot on her mind, given the quiet muttering she was making. Occasionally she looks up and around, as if looking for someone while she does a little maintenance on the M.W.S. Care to interrupt the space case? ]

2) [ Shion's wanderings have found her in the Wards district, though she looked rather dismayed and concerned by what she saw. It was more than a little bit of culture shock - her own world was so much more advanced, even in the poorer areas. It was a little difficult to move around through the area, but she managed it - somehow. It's only a matter of time before she bumps into or trips over someone though. Maybe even literally. ]

3) [ Shion was not used to fighting on her own - though she was not a weakling by any means. Yet at the same time, she was prone to distraction, and when she fought, she had always had KOS-MOS with her. Had she made the right decision, coming to this place after handing KOS-MOS over on Second Miltia? Had sh- oh WHOOPS, not paying attention in battle costs Shion, as an attack knocks her back and onto her duff. ]

[Shion! Scans detected her in the battlefield and that there had been an injury. Even after all her upgrades and being rebuilt, she was still tied to Shion and always knew her condition.

F-SCYTHE in hand, she cut through enemies in her way until she could see the woman who had helped built her. The Scythe vanished and she quickly changed her arm into a blade and stabbed it through the chest of the soldier that had attacked her.]

Shion. Are you able to stand or shall I hold off the enemy units while you retreat?

[ And KOS-MOS had the most amazing timing ever. The soldier that had knocked her back had taken advantage of her lapse, ready to strike another blow. Shion braced herself, the M.W.S held defensively -- but the blow never comes. Tentatively she looked up -- ! ]

KOS-MOS!

[ SO many feelings. Confusion battled it out with relief with joy waiting in the sidelines until she realized the android said something. She shook her head out of the daze of confusion. How was she here? And her frame was completely different - ]

I can stand... [ To prove it, she got to her feet, brushing herself off. ]

I don't know how you got here, KOS-MOS, but I'm not going to retreat and just leave you here. [ Not while it was still dangerous. Not even when it wasn't, actually. ]

[ Wilhelm actually rather liked this world. The wine was a slightly better quality than his own world - he expected nothing less from a world supposedly run by Norse deities - and they had an appreciation for fine music. Though, as for now, Wilhelm had to keep his cover up. The Valkyries knew full well just how powerful he was, which was why they brought him here. But now that there was someone from his own world here...

Green light would pour forth from a slightly cracked-open door near Shion. The light would be coming from the Compass of Order and Chaos, now that Wilhelm is using it to monitor the battlefield, and keep an open communique with Joshua, as he can control it remotely. It was the perfect set-up; he could remain behind and act as the strategist so many thought he was, while using Joshua to affect the battlefield in the way he needed. Wilhelm was more than capable of fighting, but it wasn't his style; this suited him better.

The CEO of Vector patiently awaited Shion to notice him. He knew she would, after all. She would find him seated at a desk, in a rotating computer chair unfitting of a man of his tastes, the Compass illuminating the room from the desk top. ]

[That's a really old MWS model, KOS-MOS thought she had given it to Miyuki. There would be time for that later though as KOS-MOS attacks another oncoming enemy.]

If you are going to remain here, please allow me to join you in the fight.

[Not that she's giving Shion much choice. One of her highest priorities was still, and always had been, to protect Shion.]

I am certain that the enemy units will not be capable of holding out for much longer.

*Jr. had been getting maintenance on the Asher done, but the mechanics had, by now, gotten to a point where he wasn't worried about them messing anything up with what they were doing. He was on his way out of the Foundry when he caught sight of Shion and plopped down next to her.*

[ The glow of green light was definitely something Shion would notice - unless the sun turned green all of a sudden. She looked up indeed, following the glow until she spied Wilhelm. ]

Oh! Excuse me -- [ Shame on you Shion, intruding on ... mind-Braaaaaaaaake. Wait a second, isn't that ... ]

[ Wilhelm blinked his red eyes as Shion entered. He knew Shion would arrive as the Compass had shown it would happen, but... in her Vector uniform? Looking a few years younger? And wearing those glasses? Why she looked just like --... how was that possible? ]

Miss Uzuki.

[ Wilhelm did very well to hide his true reaction, as he often did, but he inadvertently leaned forward a bit in his desk to get a better look at her, clearly interested by this turn of events. Finally, after a few seconds of stunned, yet pokerfaced silence, Wilhelm motions to the seat in front of his desk. ]

Have a seat.

[ Shion nods, not even considering the possibility of refusing that stubborn girl. Nevermind she didn't want to anyway. In a way, it was like old times. But at the same time, there were discrepancies. KOS-MOS' new frame... no, later. She turned her attention to a soldier rushing forward, and treats him to a little chin music with a high kick. While he's reeling, stunned, she unloads a concentrated ether beam at point blank range, dealing with her own miscreant. ]

I am glad you're here, KOS-MOS. [ And after a short battle, she phews. ]

They're on the run!

[ No of course not. He wouldn't invite her in if she were. She walked into the room at the invitation, because she wouldn't dream of turning down the offer, easing into a seat. ]

[ Wilhelm didn't respond to her first question; he simply waited as the young research chief took her seat. Her reaction was most interesting to him; no hostility, no anger, not even fear. Intimidation perhaps, due to him being not just her boss, but her boss's boss's boss and the wealthiest man in the history of the human race, but beyond that... ahh. Yes. Of course. It was the same reason KOS-MOS was in her previous hardware form. Different timelines. This just got better and better. ]

Nor should you have one. Though, it is interesting that Norse deities have a use for someone like me, isn't it?

[ Feigned coyness. Wilhelm knows exactly why they brought him here, and so do at least two of the other people that were brought here recently. ]

[She used her Transfer System then, the pair of triple-barrel gatling guns appearing in her hands just before Shion points out the enemy retreat. All the same, her weapons remain in hand until she's certain there's no remaining threat.]

[ Shion watches the soldiers retreating, and raises a hand. ]

It's okay KOS-MOS, stand down. [ Even though some part of her knows KOS-MOS will remain in battle mode until they were all gone. ]

I think it's best that we keep moving. I don't want to be here if they're going to reinforcements. Are you registering any enemies on your scanners right now?

I see. I've just been thinking about some things, and doing a little routine maintenance on the M.W.S. It would be bad if it locked up during battle.

[It takes another minute as KOS-MOS scans the area. Thoroughly. Once she's satisfied that there aren't any more enemies nearby to attempt to surprise them, her weapons vanish. Even if someone were to try something how, she can still change her arm into a blade or a cannon.]

The area is now clear of all enemy units. It is safe for us to move on.

[ Okay it ... perhaps was a bit silly to ask that question. It didn't need an answer she supposed. ]

Well... in a situation like this, I suppose the Norse have a need for all kinds of people, sir, not just those familiar with battle. We all have a reason for being chosen by the Valkyrie.

[ At the question, she straightens a bit, hands on her lap. ]

I've adjusted fairly well, sir in spite of the situation. The culture - everything - is vastly different from back home.

[ Familiar with battle... well, that was somewhat accurate. Wilhelm was more than capable of fighting, but he almost never did it in his entire life, which has been very, very, very long. Between the two of them, Yeshua was much more commonly involved in fighting. Especially recently. ]

The Ride of the Valkyries appears to be indiscriminate as far as whom they choose to bring back with them.

[ Wilhelm always chose overly-dramatic names. This time, he based it off of a famous classical piece by - you guessed it - Richard Wagner. Translated into English, of course.

Wilhelm watched her fidget in her seat. She was uncomfortable. Wilhelm rarely made any public appearances for Vector, and almost always communicated with Shion's team by speaking directly to Kevin.

It was almost endearing to him. ]

I am aware. But this world is not all bad. A world the likes of which you and I have only read about. Guarded by Gods, whose eyes and ears are all around us. Who reached out to us for help, rather than demand our obedience or threatened damnation or the end of our universe. A veritable Ragnarok.

[ Wilhelm looked at her MWS that she left near the door, over Shion's shoulder. He then returned his red gaze to her bright blue eyes. ]

As old of a model as that is, it is a terrifying weapon here. They use guns not unlike that of your friend, Gaignun Kukai, Jr.

[KOS-MOS turns towards the direction of Midgard, motioning for Shion to go before her or, at least, alongside her.]

I arrived not long ago. The Valkyrie brought us. [By 'us' she means Mary and herself but Shion doesn't know about Mary yet, does she?]

Because I was built to protect the universe, this was an acceptable alternative in protecting it.

[Like they stopped her when Shion stole Dinah and she had to rescue her.]

[ Try to relax Shion. But it was difficult - granted these were different situations from back home. She had known OF him, but never truly saw him - or at least not much, and now she was here, sitting and chatting with him like normal.

None of this was normal. ]

I think my brother Jin would be more well versed in the history of a world like this. He is the bookworm in the family, always surrounded by those musty old things. [ ER. Dude, Shion, Wilhelm might be a bookworm too. Backpedal woman, backpedal. ]

Er - that is ...! [ Oh a change in subject. Phew. She didn't want to accidentally offend the CEO. Glancing over her shoulder as he mentioned the M.W.S, she smiled, turning back. ]

Yes; it may be an older model in comparison to the prototypes in development back home, but it's reliable and hasn't failed me yet. Sometimes the old models are more effective than what's more current.
