[If one were to search for Nia, where better to start looking than the pantry? Having cheerily decided that she was going to help her comrades along by being a makeshift chef whenever the situation calls the young girl is buried deep in thought, picking up food that doesn’t go together and would most likely taste foul when mixed together. Perhaps, for the sake of everyone who would think it would taste good, she should be stopped. Or encouraged.]
This looks good. I’m certain that everyone would like it.
[Or not. It’s a matter of opinion.]

[Your princess is in another mecha. Literally.
For some reason or other Nia has found herself in the clutches of hostile forces (as seems to be the standard for princesses nowadays, honestly). As opposed to shrieking or screaming or giving up as some delicate flowers may have done, Nia has adopted a rather stubborn attitude. Assuming that there’s some sort of communication link her voice should be playing in your ears.]
They will come for me. I’m sure of it.
[Fearlessly ignoring the repercussions she continues, her voice adopting a slightly harsher tone compared to usual.]
For they are fearless people. They may only be puny humans but they also have the biggest hearts!

[Perhaps there was a slight blip or a mistake that was enough to cause some trouble. Perhaps the whole mission was a huge disaster. Whatever it is there’s one princess by your side, her hands curled into fists and a slight furrow of her brows.]
You mustn’t allow this to get you down!
[Pep talk? Pep talk.]

[Lan can't help but be curious. Alas, she knows so little about cooking, she's probably in for a deadly surprise.]
Are you sure it will taste good?

[He eyes the food warily. He can almost swear its moving.]

You will try some, won't you?

Is there a problem with this? I'm not sure what else I would be helpful with.

[It was... hard to bring Nia to account for her faults, given how innocent she was. Might make one seem mean if done badly...]
Why necessarily limit yourself to cooking? There are a number of other jobs you could do... Morale, scheduling, laundry, um...
[Perhaps something less potentially degrading?]
Scout?
Re: 1
[Lan takes a wad of... something and puts it in her mouth.
She immediately becomes as off-color as the food she just tried.]

That is until another option catches her interest.]
Scout? And what does a scout do?

How is it?

[Suddenly a large spinning blade is flying towards the enemy robot, hitting its arm! It severs the hand, causing it to start falling - but then a red mech rushes in on a giant motorbike, and catches the hand and Nia within it!]
Are you alright?

3 (Challenge Issued)
My opinion on the matter is irrelevant. The mission was a failure.

Miss Lan, is there something wrong?

Luckily for her it seems as though she has a saviour.]
I'm okay, thank you. [She sounds relieved. Falling to her death would be a messy way to go out.]
Oh boy
Hiiro-san. [Sharp and polite.]
Both you and I, we're both humans are we not? I'm positive that anyone could have made that error.

Re: Oh boy
But it was a mistake that could not be prevented. Words won't fix this either.

Hmmm! This is pretty good! [He exclaims in the middle of two bites] Gotta work on the presentation, but it's great! [And downing another huge spoonful happily]

[Definitely more than just a little.]

I'm glad you like it! Does it taste okay?

N... no, it is alright!
It was not to my taste, but I am sure others will like it. I am simply not used to Earth cuisine, that's all!

What kind of things do you like to eat, Miss Lan? I'll do my very best to make it to your tastes!

[And he may have just spared the crew for the next few weeks, all being well...]

[A glint appears in Lan's eye.]

[Raynor catches the sword, spinning back to him, with his free hand - the name "boomerang" wasn't just for show. At the same time he turns the bike around loudly, facing the enemy he just attacked again.]
They're coming in. Please be careful.

I already started preparing for tonight's meal...
[Just a minor hitch.]

I understand.
[If Raynor is at all offended by her 'puny human' remark she hasn't quite picked up on it, more concerned with the matters at hand.]

Thank you. I can make more things like that!

There's a compartment for passengers on the bike. You can hide there... Though one way or another, I won't let them come close.
Paragon of Honor! Change, Paladin form!
[The robot's colors change from red and gold to white and gold - and in addition to its sword, it has a shield now. Raynor gets off the bike, readying to meet the incoming enemy.]

And while he could, and should explain this to her, he can also grasp, simply from her demeanor, that it would be akin to arguing with a wall. He'll explain, and she'll insist that a mistake is human.]]
I still have to deal with the consequences.
