[Suddenly, third-party reinforcements arrive from the flank! They consist of... but a single short-statured girl? But she's wielding two huge chainguns, raining bullet hell on the enemies - and actually manages to push them back a little!]

What are you looking at? Want some of this?! I'll take all of you down!

[And then the enemies regroup and it turns out that surprise, a single ally out of nowhere cannot turn the tide of battle. They start to converge on her position.]

... Eh?

[Bad things happened recently, very bad things. Chris was personally involved - as a victim or a friend of one, not as a perpetrator; and it seems she is taking this pretty badly. Do you try to console her?]

[Suddenly, hundreds of spears are formed out of thin air and fired at the group attacking Chris. Skewering right through everything they touched.]

[There's a low whine as a machine skates across the ground and hurls several grenades into the crowd that was paying their full attention to Chris - thus ignoring the mooktacular machine that was now hurling bullets and explosives like candy.]

You're welcome to stay still and draw their attention. I wouldn't really recommend it though.

That Symphogear? It must be...

[Chris was backing out a bit - but now she sees an opening. Suddenly, missile launchers spring from her armor and shoot their explosive payload at the Noise! MISSILE PARTY]

Gungnir! I won't lose to you!

What are you talking about? None of course! I'm not some army grunt, you know!

Dunno if you noticed, but I just saved your ass!

[Time to run! The chainguns aren't good on the go, Chris produces a pair of crossbows that fire bolts at the foes. EXPLOSIVE bolts.]

Exercises like this were designed by experienced specialists, solely to help fledgling soldiers like you work together and survive. Do you really think you know better whether you need them or not?

[Her large spear starts spinning rapidly, forming a very large tornado around it. Kanade then swings the spear, sending the wild storm through the last group between the two.

The veteran Symphogear lands next to her junior. Easily dwarfing the smaller girl in several different categories.]

We need to work together.

Of course I'm a warrior. Do you think I was sleeping around all day before I came here? Look at the other Symphogear users, you can call THEM fledglings, not me!

[The alien woman is being annoying.]

[Back to the chainguns. Approaching groups of Noise are obliterated as Zenbu barrages them with an endless swarm of BILLION MAIDEN bullets.]

Hm? I don't recall doing anything you should be thankful for.

I was doing perfectly fine. My jailors on the other hand were not.

[Indeed, the other mooks were charging en masse into the enemy lines and all but getting ground into scraps.]

And they still aren't apparently...

[The pilot merely swings the PBSEN's bulky rifle and sends multiple shots to cover the 'lemmings'.]

[Chris looks at what is going on.]

What the shit. They're going in blindly like lambs for the slaughter!

Sheesh... do you want me to spell it out for you?

[Kanade adds some Stardust Foton into the mix as well. In the span of seconds most of the Noise are shredded apart.]

The important thing is being able to move on.

Would it surprise you that they think they're winning?

[Indeed, if Chris tapped into their comms... well, she'd be blasted with all sorts of patriotic insanity/fervor and the sheer ineptitude of someone who sounds like their commanding officer telling them to push harder because the enemy lines are about to break. Clearly nothing of the sort was happening.]

I have to deal with this all the time.

That sounds nice and all, but the past isn't so easy to forgive! Even if you say that, it doesn't mean others think that way. It doesn't mean the world works that way!

[Chris fires over Kanade's head, forcing the rest of enemies into defense.]

You got covering fire, finish the rest of the Noise off!

[The pink-haired, unarmed cellist watches as Chris falls prey to the dozens of Shogunate armors being fielded.]

[Chris waves her arms and tries to get the zerging soldiers' attention.]

Hey! You damn morons! Stop what you're doing and think for a second!

[Time for another MISSILE PARTY - launchers emerge from Chris's leg armor and send out projectiles in destructive volleys that break a hole into the enemy defense line.]

Who the hell are these guys?!

[The armors may be plentiful, but Chris has the advantage of range! Simultaneous firing of gatling guns and missile launchers commences, it's like a tiny Heavyarms Gundam.]

Your job is to look for caches of chocolate eggs in this area. They are hidden in places you won't access alone.

[Before Shu can respond, a little blue bird lands on his shoulder.]

Don't take it too seriously. He just likes to act cool, but master's actually more surprised than anything! He's always been bad at stuff like this anyway.

[And at this point, one can practically see how terrible of a headache the doctor is already having. He tries his best to remain composed though.]

[Yeah no. Chris, they aren't listening to you and they're calling you all sorts of unflattering names they reserve for foreigners. And getting killed. Also a large number of them end up getting thrown all over the place as the ground torn up by the missile bombardment is not a good thing for their skate systems. That's what happens when you try to initiate a bayonet charge across uneven ground - some of them even impaled each other.]

That would work if they were reasonable. Unfortunately they're anything but.

[Mystery Pilot X just gives out a tired sigh before the machine uses its fallen comrades as a ramp to leap over and jam the PBSEN's bayonet into the head of one of the foes machines and tear it open from top to bottom before punching it away.]

Its better to operate independently and try to end the battle as quickly as you can before all of them die.
