Six weapons to win a round, and five raks for vowing with each of them is thirty raks. If I just vowed with the first one and won the other five in battle, that's an extra fifteen...

2. [ Lemina can be seen at the wall looming over the west side of town, staring up at it. Four weeks this game has been running, and people are still stuck in this place? Well, no wonder -- Lemina only arrived today! She'll settle this once and for all. ]

All right, wall, you're comin' down! Mega magic flame! [ She focuses, hands outward to thrust a burst of flame, and pauses when nothing happens. ] I said, mega magic flame!

3. [ This round, Lemina is a Weapon, and you seem to be a Player. Hence her approaching you. ] Hey, hey, you need weapons, right? You should use mine, it's really good. You'll need to buy upgrades first, but trust me, it's totally worth it.

( Spain is watching quietly. He doesn't want to distract her but. . . well, it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. After the second time, he speaks up, )

That's right, don't give up!

[ Don't give up... She clenches her teeth and glares at that damn wall. If fire won't work... ]

Ice storm! ...Lightning blast!

[ After another long moment of nothing happening, she throws her arms up in frustration. ]

What's going on here?!

( Looking up at the sky. And back. And the sky again. )

Maybe you can try again when there are clouds.

Clouds? There don't have to be clouds. It should just work!

Well, I'm sure it'll work if you keep trying then.

[pennypincher]

...I dunno. I feel weird. Kind of... drained, sort of. [ She's only felt like this once before... but that's over now. They got their magic back. So why... ]

Are there any other magic-users here that you know of?

You mean real ones?

Perhaps. He's more trouble than anything else though to be honest.

[pennypincher]

Well, yeah.

[ With a frown, Lemina turns to the man who'd spoken. ]

Trying to get us all out of here.

Other methods of escape seem to be inefficient. The train only brings passengers, it doesn't seem to take them away.

Exactly. So I figure we might as well see what's on the other side of these walls. I mean... If something wasn't interfering with my magic, anyway.

Yeah, I am. And yeah! I'm the junior premiere of the Vane Magic Guild, so of course I can use magic! At least, normally.

I see. That isn't something people from where I am from can normally do. So it's a bit odd seeing someone trying to use it.

...Seriously? People can't use magic? [ Not everyone can, she knows, but it's not like it's weird or unusual. ] What kind of podunk town are you from?

No, they can't. Though I guess The Healing Touch might count.

[ She turns, glaring -- not at Lina, but at the situation. Not that that's going to help matters when she replies all snappily. ]

[dragonspooker]

I do.

[Lina folds her arms, giving the blonde a rather serious look.] I dunno what it is, but there's something about this place that's stifling magic, otherwise I'd have blown this wall down already.

[pennypincher]

...you've gotta be kidding. What good is a magic-user who can't use any magic?

[ Sigh! ] So we have to find whoever or whatever put up this seal.

[dragonspooker]

I wish I was kidding. [That comment does get a visible twitch, though. Bad enough to admit she can't do anything, even worse to get it rubbed in.]

[ Sorry Lina, one of Lemina's lost memories is "People's worth is not determined by their magical ability" whoops ]

...You know where I'd be hiding if I was keeping a bunch of prisoners and sealing their magic away? Someplace you need magic to get to.
