Monkey D. Luffy - Sample for Animus Applcation

A.) Luffy can be seen stuffing his face with every manner of food upon the table top before him. He's flinging empty dishes quicker than they can come out. It's lunacy how fast he's scarfing down food and how much he's eating. Before you realize it, an arm has stretched out and grabbed the food from right in front of you. Did it come from his direction?! How was that even possible?

B.) [There's a huge commotion coming from inside the local tavern. It sounds like there's a huge fight going on inside. Just as you peek her head between the swinging doors, someone comes barreling through them as if they'd been tossed out from inside. In a heap, Luffy now rests looking as if he were doing a headstand. Just what happened in there? He sits up quickly, brushing himself off and placing his hat upon his head as he turns back to face the establishment.]

"WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA?! So what if my gold coins aren't painted gold?!"

C.) As you're minding your own business, a young jumps down in front of you, seeming to appear almost out of thin air. Grinning like a total idiot, he chuckles and bows his head in greeting.

"Hey there! Do you know where I can find some food? My stomach's killing me! OOOH! What's that?"

[He spots briefly, if only to shoot the young girl a questionable glance.]

"WAMF?! MOFPHPFMEL? MAWS BFAT?!"

[They had always told him as a kid to "not talk with your mouth full". However, Luffy had also been taught, "eat now or don't eat later". Translated into the common tongue, Luffy's muffled food-speech meant: "What?! Oatmeal? What's that?!"]

[Fortunately, she's had quite a bit of practice in decoding mouth-full-of-food speech -- thanks, Naruto.]

The oatmeal. Someone at the counter should have given you a bowl of it. Until you've eaten that, anything else here that you eat will just make you sick.

"Waugh?!"

[With a mountain of food still in his mouth, Luffy cautiously looks at his stomach. Turning his eyes to the spread before him, Luffy raised a single hand and began to count the slender digits of his fingers.]

". . . Thirty-five bowls earlier I had the oatmeal, but I don't FEEL sick."

So you did get it... Wait, thirty-five bowls?! How are you not sick from that?!

[Even a bunch of ninja who have to maintain contstant states of extreme physical health and strength training don't eat like that!]

"Sick? Ha ha! You're funny!"

[Luffy downs another plate of food in the interim. Once it goes past his gums and down his throat, he wipes his mouth on his arm and speaks once more.]

"This is nothing. I'm gonna' need a whole lot more to get to tip-top shape. You wouldn't know if there's a good place to sleep, would you? I'm tired of sleeping in barrels."

[Her eyebrows rise at that.

And just how do you manage to burn off that much food, hm? Even someone on active duty doesn't eat like that!

"Burn? You mean where does it all go?"

[Luffy began to chuckle again, dropping his current bowl of food down upon the jenga-like stack of dishes. Picking his teeth, he took in a deep breath and turned to face the young girl directly.]

"That's nothin'. It was more of a snack than anything. I can usually get rid of it in a couple minutes, or in a fight.

How do you get rid of all the food you eat?"

Burning energy, yes. Your body breaks down the food and derives energy from it, which you spend in functioning... But most people don't go through nearly that much!

Just how is it that you fight, hm?

[He raises an eyebrow, giving her a hard stare.]

"How is it that I fight? Uhh.. I just do? And when I do, I win."

[Luffy hops on to the table top, placing a hand above his eyes to scope his view.]

"Is there anything else here to eat? I'm still kinda' hungry."
