 1) combat

He steps back in Heavyarms, taking a few direct hits, but he ignores them for a brief moment scanning the area, he told the others he'd make sure the civilians were covered until they could escape.  Waiting until the enemy is closer he opens fire, five of the mobile suits fall with ease.  

"Just leaves the one."  His words aren't really for anyone, maybe just there to let his comrades know he wasn't killed in the exploding machines.  Trowa charges forward, compensating for the extra weight of the gatling gun that's his suit's arm.  Flicking the knife out of where it's folded on the right he goes in for the kill.

2) up and about

He's seated in a common area the book in his lap's old and worn, he's read it hundreds of times before.  Though he's really not really reading.  He's watching people, judging maybe?  Maybe you should go figure out what he's doing?

A cold bottle of water lightly tapped Trowa's shoulder as Quatre leaned over his friend to take a look at the book in question. "The Great Gatsby? That's an interesting choice."

It wasn't bad, nor entirely unexpected. He had a feeling that Trowa had a taste for the classics.

"Huh?" he glanced over accepting the water. "Yeah, just felt like it today." He cracked the bottle open taking a drink. "Still busy with meetings? Or think I can kidnap you a few hours? Catherine insisted I bring you over for dinner."

He huffed in a short laugh at the question and the subtle joke. "I think I can find time, even if a few people will be angry about it. You know how things are."

"I already told the bodyguards." Of course he was meaning Quatre's extended family so they wouldn't freak out about the little blond prince disappearing.

"And they gave you their blessing, along with some stern orders, right?"

He knew the Maganacs too well to not suspect that. They would freak out about the little blond prince disappearing no matter the circumstances.

"Yeah you could say that. I don't bring you back by midnight they're storming the circus." He chuckled a little at that really because he had a feeling they probably would. He wouldn't put his sister in that kind of trouble.

"Though have a feeling you ever really did run away that's the first place they'd look too. If we're not on a mission."

They would indeed storm the circus, but Quatre was certain that they wouldn't cause any unnecessary damage or bring too much trouble, even if a few of them would need to be talked down.

"I think they've been reading too many fairy tales again, but at least that's reasonable. If they change their minds, they can always find me without any problem."

"You're the most predictable of us you know." Trowa gently chided.

"I have some errands if you want to come along before I get back. Had to promise I'd be back before the show started tonight."

Quatre smiled at the teasing, gentle jab. He wouldn't deny it, ever.

"Thanks. It'll be nice to get out in the open again!" Although he didn't mind his lot in life, it did come with its flaws. There weren't many opportunities for him to just go outside and enjoy himself.

"It's more fun to have company anyway...and maybe you could tell me a little about tonight's show?"

He laughed.

If I did it would ruin the surprise Quatre. Though I do have a small part. She's only cut me once so it'll be fine."

"Only once?"

He would prefer that there be no cuts at all...but this was Trowa. Leave it to him to say something like that as if it were completely normal.

"Her hand slipped and it was the first time we did the act." He touched his cheek lightly, where there wasn't even a scar. "Crowds love it though. Almost as much as when I come into the ring with the lions."

He nodded in understanding. "It's the risk of it that keeps their attention, like with any movie or book. We know that people aren't going to get hurt, but its still amazing to watch.

Those lions must really like you. They listen so well."

"I just have a way with them. Unlike most people," Quatre excluded of course. "I listen. if they're agitated I back off, but so far that hasn't happened."

"I think that's because people don't always listen to themselves. It's no surprise that they don't know how to understand animals if they don't understand the people around them. But, I think that these problems can eventually be solved if it's given enough time and effort.

And, we've already started to do that."

He nodded. "Just hope we can continue to. There's no reason the colonies and Earth can't live peacefully."
