[ Welp. Here we are again. Big Jim foster in the field, piloting the weakest mecha in the EFA arsenal. He's keeping it hunched behind some hills, trying to take as much cover as he can. Dishonorable? Maybe. Cowardice? Perhaps. He calls it camouflage, and survival. Do you approach him as friend, or foe? ]

[ You see a blue Gespenst just floating in space, either standing watch or lost from a carrier. Do you hail it? Attack it? Or just leave it be? ]

The salvo sheers off some armor on the two assault mechs. But he's shooting at their protected side. This could take some time.

"Aff, now get to cover."

From behind though, the elementals are moving in a pack. Neither Jaguar registers the sensor hit before the troopers are on their backs, tearing open the more vulnerable armor there. One elemental misses his leap and is flung to the ground, to be unceremoniously stepped on, but all the rest have already got to the vulnerable guts of the assault mechs.

"I sense some trepidation. You should enjoy your job, mechwarrior!" More laughter and the sound of tearing metal.

"Oh I'm sure most enjoy being bait."

He winces audibly when he sees the elemental smashed beneath the assault mech, and almost without thinking boosts towards the assault, trying to smash into it with the plasma stake leading, the right fist arcing with energy as he puts hammerblow force behind it.

The Warhawk takes the brunt of the force, only managing to get off one salvo with its ERPPCs before getting impale. CRITICAL HIT: HIP blares in its cockpit.

"If it falls you're going to sq-" Says one of the Scorpions over the comm. "Then get out of the way." Interrupts Nikolai, before doing exactly that, jumping ship and landing on the desperately twisting Dire Wolf.

The somewhat dimunitive Gespenst keeps up the thrashing close range assault, mauling with the powered fist while launching point blank missile salvos. Snarling can be heard over the comms, as well as broken half phrases. The effect is almost feral.

The Dire Wolf manages to get its bearings and fire off its autocannon, at least, while the Scorpions are tearing it apart from the back. But is it enough?

IT certainly smashes back the thinly-armored Gespenst, upending it as it seems to spasm from the hit.
