THE MURAMASA TRAIN...took a while to get back here

[For one terrible reason or another you let Ichijou be your navigator through a city. This proves to be a fatal mistake, as within minutes you're both completely lost and have wound up in a completely different place. You're pretty damn sure that the both of you are lost.]

I think we're almost there!

[Ichijou on the other hand is in complete denial.]

[What started off as dinner in a normal restaurant has somehow turned into a Mexican standoff thanks to Ichijou picking a fight with some random drunk soldiers. The only thing between the two of you and the soldiers now is a bar counter.]

We might need a plan to get out of this.

[A bullet whizzes by.]

[Combat! As usual Ichijou is just rushing ahead. She's surprisingly strong for a girl fighting with a weird gauntlet, she even manages to destroy some grunts in power armor. Still, she's getting in over her head and is quickly surrounded by those grunts. ]

Not...like this...I need...

[Even with Masamune it wasn't enough. She needed more. If she wanted to punish evil as justice she needed...]

more power. I...am justice.

[She forces herself to stand, in this state she could barely make out the shape of Yamato. None the less she still picks up the sword. It felt like it was calling out in response to her pleas.]


M-midou

[Even Masamune is shocked that Ichijou can still stand in that state. Let alone wield a weapon.]

As long as the devil lives, my blade shall pierce its heart.

[She begins the mantra of Masamune once again as she charges at the exhausted devil.]

As long as evil persists, my steel shall know the taint of blood.

[The last thing she could do now was pierce him with his own blade before passing out.]

[The devil, in this case, has just risen to his feet. The blade does pierce his heart, as he makes no move to fight back. The truth is, he's rather stunned by how motivated Ichijou is. It's not often that a regular human can sustain injuries like this without dying. Far rarer were individuals who could continue to move like she did.

And so...he stands there, hair in a mess, impaled by his own sword as the girl collapses from her injuries. You've literally fulfilled that mantra in this case, Ichijou.]

[A beat later, he pulls the blade out of his chest, slicks his hair back to its usual style, and...turns around to walk, albeit slowly, away from the girl and the Tsurugi.]

...You're not the only one in need of more.

Might...controls everything.

[He doesn't know why he's not killing her right there. But there's a feeling he has that it's because in some ways, Ichijou is similar to him.



With nothing else to gain here, he sheathes his sword...and departs.]
