Have a derpy angsty teen for SRWU
Prompt 1
This place is a dump. Seven years of neglect and irregular maintainance will do that.
The kid who's supposed to join you is freckled, tanned, and has a tight line for an expression; he can't be older than 16. He was told to bring all his possessions with him. Apparently, they can all fit in one army surplus A.L.I.C.E. backpack.
Prompt 2
Joshua - that's his name, Joshua Preston - is considerably more relaxed once he's on board and settled in. Right now, he's at a strategy session, listening intently. Hell, he's taking notes.
He holds up an honest-to-god diagram of enemy troop formations and asks, "This look right?"
Prompt 3
Joshua is at the local comissary/mess hall. And he's eating.
Oh god is he eating.
He has piled the food on his plate, heavy on meat and sweets, light on starches and veggies. It would be funny if he wasn't so thin...
He looks up. "Wha'r you looking at?" he says, jabbing with his fork.
Prompt 4
It's the middle of a pitched battle against a huge, black-muscled kaiju thing with white bone armor. Most attacks just ripple through it, dealing a little bit of superficial damage but then passing through without an exit wound. Maybe you could have dealt with one, but the second one just now rising up out of the water? Not good.
At least, not until a five-story suit of mechanized Spanish plate mail drops from the sky, blasting at it with what looks like a plasma cannon - and the shots connect. Whatever kind of phasing the creature was doing doesn't work against this thing's weapons.
Joshua's ANIMa tackles it, pinning the one underwater. "Now's your chance!" he screams over all channels. "Kill it while it's in the water!"
