Alright! [Yuna places her hands on her hips as she faces the stack of boxes. Next thing is to get these into the back of the shop. Yuffie takes the job in order to help her uncle in business but it was tiring working under the hot sun. Summer jobs were the worst.

She watches everyone playing on the beach before she faces the first box. Time to get work done.]

It was to nice of a day to stay inside so Yuffie was jumping through the trees looking for prey. It had been awhile since she has scoped out this road before but it doesn't take long for her to find a well off traveler.

She jumps down landing easily on her feet. "Stop right there!" She shouts at the traveler her stance firm. "I am The Great Ninja Yuffie! Hand me all your materia!"

Cloud frowns, crossing his arms and narrowing his eyes at the ninja in front of him, "Yuffie...no."

Why did she even think this was a good idea?

Yuffie scratched the back of her head with a sheepish smile on her face. "Oh, Hey. How have you been?"

"Been fine. Running a courier business now." His expression and pose haven't changed, "I thought you had enough gil to support Wutai now. When did highway robbery come back into it?"

[thegreatninja]

Yuffie shrugs a little, clearly annoyed. "It seems some robbers have taken some of my stockpile. Besides I thought you might be them."

No one should have known where she kept her stash but it was somehow compromised. The news still bothered Yuffie.

Man that disbelieving stare doesn't quit. Seriously Yuffie. How could you confuse Cloud for anyone else with hair like his?

"Do you have any clue who might have taken it? Or just "robbers"."

{I bet it was her dad.}

"Robbers" Yuffie shouts posing a little. "And I am determined to get it back."

She stops blinking for a moment. "Did you say courier? What are you carrying?" Not that she was thinking about taking it.

"Nothing I'm giving to you. It's a delivery for Junon though. Did the "robbers" head off in that direction?"

He's keeping his eye on you Yuffie. He's not going to be tricked into looking away, not even by a shiny save point.

"Geez, I'm not going to take it." She looks off where Cloud points to show him she was being honest. "They ran off south but I have a feeling I can catch up to them."

"Hmmm, well good luck to you." He's not planning to help her, but for a moment he lets his guard down and looks off in the direction she was pointing.

And takes his eyes off of her.

Yuffie wasn't going to steal his things... yet but she was curious. In an instant she was standing next to cloud and his bike. She jumps on for a moment and looks up at cloud. "Let me come with you."

It might be best though if Cloud keeps an eye on his materia. Yuffie knew he could get more.

[Lan freezes in shock. This was supposed to be a peaceful monster-riddled forest!]

Is this... a robbery? Am I being robbed?!

"That's right! I am The Great Ninja Yuffie and if you want to pass here with your things you have to beat me in a fight!" Yuffie pulled out her large shuriken with a cocky smile.

"Prepare yourself!"

I surrender.

[An immediate reaction.]

Yuffie paused and looked at the girl, her confusion lasting only a moment. That was a new reaction for her. She smirks and gives her a smile. "Then give me your materia."

Oh. Yes, I believe you mentioned this already.

I don't have any.

"What!" Yuffie let out a long sigh placing her weapon away. "Oh man."

She suddenly looks even younger as she kicks the ground annoyed. Why did this keep happening to her. "Why are you even traveling this road?" It's kind of out of the way.

This land is unknown yet fascinating for me.

[Lan sounds pretty calm about the whole thing, but actually she was sweating profusely on the inside just now.]

I have decided to explore it a little bit.

"This isn't the best place to explore... there are thieves around." Yuffie stops at that a moment before continuing. "I mean besides me..."

Thank you for your consideration, but I do not think I have much to worry about in regards to them.

[A dramatic pause to increase the tension.]

Yuffie stares on waiting for her to finish. This was an odd one.

I am an alien.

[Lan lifts up a hand, curled in a faux paw-like gesture.]

"What!" This was, by far, the craziest thing she has heard yet. She has heard some crazy stuff. "You mean you're from another world then?"

Yes. Exactly that.

[Thumbs up.]

"Then how did you get to this world. It should have been closed off." Yuffie has been to other worlds but she was sure that they were no longer connected like before.

[no_wan_no_life]

[The mysterious alien looks around the surroundings, as if judging something. Finally she beckons at Yuffie.]

Follow me please.

Yuffie shrugged and followed after the strange girl. "Where are we going?"

[In an instant, from the clear blue skies a 20 meter tall giant robot descends. Despite its speed it does not crash, but rather lands softly, only sending a big gust of wind blowing through the clearing.]

This is Orca. I wanted to show it to you without breaking the forest's trees, so we had to come here first.

Yuffie let out a surprised yell. "What is that!" She has seen things similar, though smaller, in other worlds. What was this doing here?

Aliens have UFOs they use to travel to other worlds, don't they? I have Orca.

[She does the paw thing again.]

"UFO's? We just used a gummi ship that Cid made." Yuffie walked around the beast of a machine inspecting it more closely. They did have some similar traits. "Looks nice" She gave the visitor a thumbs up. "But why are you visiting here?"

[That's new. But nevermind that, Lan has business to do!]

Ah yes. I am visiting on a peace mission - bringing a message of goodwill to worlds that are new to us, such as this one. I act as a member of the royal family of La Garite and the democratically elected representative of the Polyhedron. Also, last but not the least, as a member of the Jersey Club.

"Jersey Club?" Yuffie scratches the back of her head suddenly unsure. "Well, I can't say I represent the planet. No one here really does and there are only a few people who remember or know about other worlds."

Yuffie had just wanted to get her Materia back.

It's alright. Jersey Club operates on an individual level - for most of its existence it had only one member, after all.

"one... member... so you?" What a strange girl.

No. The lone Jersey Club member was Kyouno Madoka - I became the second member, and also her close friend.

The Jersey Club currently has over one million, two hundred thousand members all over the universe, all dedicated to helping people who have trouble they cannot deal with themselves, no matter how small.

"I see." Yuffie looks back at her giant machine. "I don't know about help but I need money. Some thieves stole our stash."

Oh. I wonder is there anything I can do, then.

[Lan follows Yuffie's gaze and looks up at her Vox. This thing could probably beat some random encounters into submission and earn money quite easily...]

I do not mean any offense but aren't you a thief yourself? A Great Ninja, if I recall the introduction correctly.

It's... complicated. [She isn't a special thief.]

[Lan bumps her fist into an open palm, in an "I get it" gesture.]

How much money did the thieves steal from you? Perhaps we can earn it back through a "part time job".

Part time Job? [Yuffie isn't sure what kind of job would be around here.] Well the money was to rebuild my hometown and a lot of materia was stolen.

Yes, participation in "part time jobs" is an important facet of Jersey Club activities.

This sounds like a problem that cannot be solved by a "part time job" however. Have you tried informing the local police authorities?

Local Police... [That also makes Yuffie pause.] We don't really have that...

Do you have any idea where the thieves might have went then?

[Yuffie noticeably pouts.][She lost their trail around here.]

Don't worry about it. I can easily get it back. I was the one to collect it all in the first place.
