O great mortals of Dagaria, hear my call!

I, the Angel of Light, have apparently received one of the Destiny Crystals. While an Angel's destiny is great indeed... I'm not entirely sure it's appropriate for me to take this.

But then, perhaps my own life is to become more interesting?

*So? Of all the places you would expect to find a high angel, elite servant to the Crystal King... This hot spring in Rome probably wasn't one of them.

But there she is, soaking quietly - even peacefully.*

[Why was she dragged here? This isn't... really the sort of place a member of the heavenly host would just casually go to. Jeanne sits with a long towel over her body over the steaming water. She looks down on the pool warily. The girl is sensitive to the heat.]

You mean compared to animals, right?

We're all capable of choice, more or less. Animals have their own programmed instinct, but we can understand why we choose to do what we do. And divinity.

[An animal being shown a vision from the divine perhaps may not be able to fathom what it's looking at. Only feel it.]

Simply that God - and angels - are the same way. We pursue goodness because we choose to. It wouldn't be hard to say the choice is what makes us angels.

Angels have free will. And that comes with a potential for boredom and stress, and a desire to find ways to relieve both.

That includes angels besides milady. Yet milady may be the only one who would casually descend upon the world for its hot springs.

[The tone she took at the end of that statement sounds as if it was questioning why hot springs and not anywhere else like, say... wartorn lands. Impoverished villages. Etc.]

Surely there must be someone willing to construct one in Heaven. For convenience's sake.

I would amend that statement, Jeanne... In two distinct fashions.

First, that the only reason you claim I as the only one who would casually descend upon the world for its hot springs, is that you know I'm an angel.

Second - *She caught the tone, of course* - I have chosen here because we must not work to fix everything, lest humanity become wholly dependent upon us. If they become dependent on us, they become dependent upon our earthly apparatus, the Church - which suddenly becomes a blaring target to any corrupt influence as a result. It's a careful balancing act.

Third... Well, okay, you've got me there, there actually are a few. I chose to come out here mostly for a change in scenery.
