[Suzaku is currently running through the halls of the hotel, chasing after a small gray cat. He's doing his best to avoid hitting people, but he may have just barreled into you accidentally, or he may have followed that cat through the open door to your room. Or perhaps you caught the cat for him.

Either way, he feels bad for troubling you.]

[Someone really doesn't like cats, didja know? Ranko Saotome, in a moment of sheer terror, has hopped up and onto the nearest table and is screaming her lungs out!]

[Oh, man... Suzaku stops chasing Arthur to tend to the kid.

He approaches her, but still remains a safe distance away, not wanting to scare her further. He also tries to talk in a soothing voice.]

Heeey, hey... its okay. You don't have to be scared, Arthur's not going to hurt you.

[Ranko shoots a glare between the cat and the cat fraternizer! Oh yeah, she went there! For all of her screaming over the cat..the posture she has on the table sure is catlike...]

No way man! It's a cat and cats are so not okay!

[Did she just give a visible shiver at the word cat? Yeah, not normal. And as she stands up a bit it becomes a bit more apparent--this is a teenager spitting and yowling over a cat..]

H..how can you stand those things!? They're so uncute!

[He actually leans back a little at that look from her.]

Man... you must really not like cats.

[But he's not daunted by that. Though he's never met anyone who didn't really like cats.]

They're cute. And harmless. [Mostly.]

[She puffs out her cheeks, muttering and pffing under her breath. Aw man, she isn't trying to make any enemies! At least not with the guy, he seems nice enough. Ranko lets out a breath that she must have been holding for a while.]

Me an' cats just don't get along, I guess.

[She is obviously trying to save face, which it is already way too late for.]

If cats are so cute an' harmless why.. [do they always try to kill her,marry her,stalk her or all of the above..?] ..are you yellin' at it?

[He smiles knowingly. He and Arthur don't always get along either, so he can understand. He won't mention that, though, not wanting to scare her.]

Arthur likes to do his own thing sometimes, even if I'd rather he didn't.

[The cat isn't clawing up her leg or screeching in her ear so, even if it still makes her skin crawl, things aren't so bad at the moment. She easily returns the smile, calming down enough to sit on the edge of the table. Cats and humans, they have an odd amount in common don't they?]

I guess you can't blame a cat for bein' a cat, or somethin'! [That is her thing!] It just means that you care, ne?

[She blinks at him with her huge blue eyes, realizing that she had been too busy freaking out over Arthur to introduce herself!Arthur? What a weird name for a cat! Then again she can't pronounce it anyway! Yeah, no manners or common sense to her.]
