The OTHER Brave New World app I'm working on
-1-

[Your enemy has sent one of his slaves to stop you from chasing him down. You'd be unimpressed with the tiny slave girl as an opponent, were it not for the cracks in the ground radiating outwards from where she just stepped.]
I'm sorry but I'm afraid I can't let you go any further.
-2-

[Remember that enormous, herculean task you asked Morgiana to get started on while you ran some errands? You got back just in time to watch her finishing up.]
Oh, you're back. I don't think I'll need any help at this point.
-3-

[You've got problems. They're kind of problems you don't want to have spread to your friends, so you thought it might be best for a clean break. Leave them all behind. It sucks, but you can apologize later if you manage to solve this, right?
Morgiana apparently disagreed, which is why she's in your room at 11pm and looking annoyed.]
You are better at running away from your problems then you are at running away from your friends.

[Everyone else has pokemon as their friends and comrades, so Morgiana decided to try and bond with one herself. In this case, a Sewaddle. She carefully held out her hand to try and make friends.]
Hello.
[At which point it bit her finger. She winces.]
Ow.

Hello.

Ow.

[She bounced lightly on the ball of one foot. Ready to engage the second Eggman took another step.]

So much for Plan A... She just won't see reason. Well, fine! Then you, my dear, have brought on yourself Plan B!
[Raising his arm up, he snaps his finger. "E-M081!" he shouts. From the air, a bolted trio of steel spheres wielding magnets descend, standing between Morgiana and Eggman.]
Plan B, of course, is where I throw heavy magnets at the problem. Heavy, electrifying magnets.

[She's not one for much unnecessary banter. When she launches herself at the machine between them, it's with enough force to leave a second crater in the ground. She came in with a spinning kick at the closest of the steel sphere. Magnets would be a problem when she had metal leg shackles on, but maybe she could break them before they even had a chance to turn on.]

[Titanic strength packaged in such a tiny frame... He's starting to understand just how frightening the thought was. This is how people back then might have thought of Pokemon... back during the cataclysm of the past.
The kick makes contact with one of the three Magnemites making up Magneton. With a sharp screech, it flies backwards... The other two are sent flying as well, being essentially conjoined by their respective magnetic forces.]
... Heed me, Polaris! We're going all out straight from the beginning! Pull yourself together and initiate Move MS-1!
[The Magneton pulls itself together. Fighting moves are traditionally the bane of Steel Pokemon. But Polaris is still holding up. Its natural defense is strong enough and now that it has an opportunity strike...]
Get a load of this! Mirror Shot!
[Polaris charges at Morgiana, as if gearing to strike her. But at the second to last second, its steel layer flashes. Morgiana might see for an instant her own face in the charging Magneton. It releases from its reflective body an intense glare, then an explosion of blinding light energy.]

The flash caught her off guard, though. She missed her target and tumbled through the air, landing awkwardly off to one side with a grunt.]

[Polaris hesitates. Though not necessarily disobeying the Doctor's orders, something about Morgiana makes it difficult for it to want to fight her. And it goes beyond fear of her strength. Eggman crosses his arms and looks up into the air, at his Pokemon.]
... What is the hold up? Move-FC, Flash Cannon! On the double!
[The steel body glows once again. The area around its body turns dark. Polaris is absorbing the light from around it into its being, surrounding it like rings. Once the glow in the rings reaches a hot red...
The cannon fires an orb of light.]

[Was that sympathy, Polaris? It was misplaced. Though Morgiana couldn't see for the moment, she unleashed some kind of silent scream that set the doctor's teeth on edge. Ultrasonic echoes bounced into her ears and filled her mind's eye with a rough map of the area and gave her a pretty good idea of where the pokemon was. She dashed to the side, letting the orb shoot past her harmlessly, then abruptly changed direction in an arcing leap OVER the pokemon and towards Eggman.]

I... I can't go out like this!!
[Eggman holds his arms out in a futile effort to defend himself. Polaris isn't focused enough to realize what had happened. At this rate...]
E... E-G622</>!
[Whatever attack Morgiana would have thrown at the Doctor is ultimately blocked. A three-feet tall blue golem stands between the attack, absorbing it completely. Its earthy shell might have cracked a little, but it did nothing to the ghost inside.]
... Hohoh... Always carry a spare jack in your sleeves. [He says, though without full confidence his next hand is enough to outplay Morgiana. He looks at his back, already planning escape.]
