Possible OC for later in SRWU
1
[Group of civilians is in trouble. They're threatened or taken hostage by some jerks. One of them is muttering to himself:]
I need to get out. I need to get out of here, and fast.
So tell me, what...
[He steps forward. A scruffy looking man, he spreads his arms wide to protect others with his own body.]

What the hell am I doing!?
2
Not yet, not yet...
[It's supposed to be a fight but things are not fine. Bad guys have taken hostages again. Or an ally is taken captive, weapons pointing at their unit and ready to blast if they do as much as breathe.]
Now I face out, I hold out, I reach out to the... NOW!
[Suddenly, an opening! Maybe the enemies were going to shoot but the attack goes off the mark because something blitzes through the battlefield like greased lightning. A winged humanoid monster of blue metal, it's only 6 meters tall but it tackles the much larger mobile suit (or MS-equivalent) out of the way!]

Hey! Are you okay?!
[And it talks, too!]

[Danny tried something risky and very dangerous, even for a battle. Possibly related to prompt 2. Anyway, he succeeded - but the result? He's in a hospital bed now.]
That was reckless? I guess. I lived my whole life never hurrying anywhere.
Maybe it's time to change that.

[You walk around minding your business. Suddenly, music from one of the rooms as you pass by! Not just any music too, but the most cheesy, bouncy bubblegum j-pop. It's loud, too. Investigate?]

Y... yeah? What's up?
I'm kinda busy.
[The music is instantly muted the second you start opening the door. In the room, there is no one but Danny Grey, sat down with a book.]
This thing won't read itself.

[Erik begins trying to gently push his restless patient back into bed. He's not exactly very strong, though]
Now, just relax. By the time this is over you'll find yourself entirely capable of leaving this bed! Now, do you wish for some anaesthetic while I sew the wounds or will the gentleman prefer me to work au naturel? I have read that many of your cultures find something fascinating about this sensation of pain.
no subject
Wait, no! I'm not letting you do anything to me while I'm unconscious, that'd be even worse!
no subject
I merely have been asked by the commander of Unity to make certain I ask patients in exceedingly specific detail before any procedure at all. How was I to know that the gentleman's expressed desire to fly was purely rethorical, when wings are such a simple matter?
[Erik chatters happily. It would be relaxing if he was talking about anything else, really. He steps back a bit and takes a hand to his mechanical chest at the second part, though]
I am genuinely hurt by your distrust, sir. [And he actually does sound rather hurt] I am a man of science! You are entirely safe here!
I will simply perform local anaesthesia on the affected areas so you can observe what I do, then?
no subject
Listen, I just... don't have good experience with doctors, okay? Mechanical ones or not.
no subject
Fret not, however! For you are no longer under care of petty doctors, but in the hands of a surgeon supreme!
[And with that, Erik begins to work, applying anaesthesia to the affected areas and getting to work with the needle and thread. You might be regretting your choice about now, Danny - feeling the numb flesh pushed around and seeing your own wounds being sewn closed is the definition of unpleasant. Painless, though.]
no subject
[Not looking at the wound. Not because it hurts, it doesn't. Danny is just bad with this stuff.]
