If there was anything on the overweight pilot's mind upon his first arrival at headquarters, it wasn't meeting his co-workers or even getting settled into his room just yet.

"Let's see what these Unity guys have for chowin' down on!"

Coop is currently "unifying" at least a dozen ingredients to form what is likely the biggest edible heart attack anyone there has ever seen.

After an especially destructive mission, Coop assessed and began repairs on his precious giant metal baby, Megas, in the hangar. His burly arm turned a wrench for what felt like the billionth time. He grumbled under his breath about Megas' important damage sustained like how badly the paint got chipped. "And I swear they're REALLY in for some extra smashing if anything happened to my cup holder..." Coop wiped sweat from his brow and took a long sip from his Big Glug before returning to work.

The full battle capabilities of the advanced MEGAS XLR were being put to splendid use... for body slamming an enemy unit, elbowing another, then clotheslining a third. His allies have probably wondered more than once why Coop normally chooses to lay the smackdown with a mech packed to the brim with incredible technology and a highly sophisticated arsenal of potent weaponry.

Hey! Hey you, up there!

[When you have a second of cooldown, something yells at you from below Coop. It's a girl! One that wears a weird armor-like suit and wields two huge gatlings, but a human sized combatant nevertheless. On a mecha battlefield.]

Do you even have any guns in this big clunker?

Coop didn't seem too bothered by the question. He casually responded after Megas sent yet another unit to the ground with a loud SLAM from its right hook.

"Uuuuh, depends. You lookin' for..." His fingers mashed at various buttons which in turn caused the mech's hand to shift into the proper form or the appropriate firearm to spring forth from somewhere on the robot's body.

"Gatling guns, laser guns, plasma blaster, freeze ray, flamethrower, missile launchers, pixelizer beam, dunno what this one is but pretty sure it's a gun too, ummm..." Before he'd fully realized it, Coop had practically covered Megas with its deployed weapons during his rambling. "Oh sweet, I think this one shoots buzzsaws!"

What. Buzzsaws. So many guns. What.

This is SO FRIGGIN' AWESOME!

[Chris braces herself. Missile pods emerge from under her leg armor. Swarms of projectiles, away! Fly toward the enemy and explode, only adding to the chaos.]

Of course you realize, I'm not going to lose to you now!

This was gonna be a SMASH AND BASH day, but Coop's up for a change of plan in this situation. He can't just ignore what he sees as a CHALLENGE.

"Now THAT was pretty cool, but you should know I don't ever lose... uh, ever. Alright, you wanna bring it?"

Some of the weapons on Megas that require charge time now began to do so.

"It is officially-"

One of those nice big buttons on the joystick in his hands was calling Coop's name.
Push.
Suddenly utter mayhem! Bullets, blasts, and beams of all sorts flew through the air. More enemy mooks are blown up, incinerated, or what have you. A few allies probably find themselves barely avoiding a similar fate or suffering minor damage from glancing blows. Coop isn't big on aiming.

"Brung... Brought? ... The point is I was bringin' it and it's here now. Nobody's better at breakin' stuff than me."

... That might have come out wrong.

Hey, the hell are you doing?!

[Chris moves in for the mop up. A small moving target is a difficult one, especially as it sprays a rain of bullets everywhere. She tosses herself right in the middle of the shaken enemy formation, spinning and aiming with her chainguns like they were pistols wielded by a man in a suit in a certain movie with a certain equilibrium. Cough cough.]

You almost hit your allies, stupid!

"Uh, yeah, ALMOST. But they're fine, so what's the problem? Listen, I don't need a backseat driver chick to tell ME how to pilot MY robot, got it? I beat up bad guys, I save the world. If a buncha other stuff gets smashed or whatever in the process, it ain't my problem."

...

"Now where's first gear, again?" Coop muttered under his breath while his eyes scanned a massive array of odd controls.

Oh the irony in that he lacks his canon backseat driver chick right now.

Oh great, another hothead who jumps in first, thinks never.

[Look who's talking, miss Gets Surrounded By Enemies By Jumping Right Into Their Group.]

Oh, it's on now! Why don't you just taste Yukine-brand death?!

[She shoots another barrage to dissuade enemies from closing in, then - more missiles. Way more missiles, and almost at point blank too.

Who's the careless one now?]

"At least I don't get in point-blank when I blow stuff up... most of the time."

Megas sent a storm of laser fire right at an enemy unit coming at Chris from behind.

"I gotta admit though... You have a lotta guts fighting out there for being a girl without her own giant robot. You're completely insane... and I'm pretty okay with that."

With my relic Ichiival, I don't need any robot! Do you see all this firepower? There's plenty more where that came from!

[These are supposed to be secrets, but Chris cares not.]

"Not bad, but there's no way it can keep up with Megas!"

Coop flashed a grin as Megas beeped to indicate successfully locking onto more enemies.

"This fight's as good as done! YEAAAAH-"

SLAM!

Rather than push the button like a normal person, an adrenaline-fueled headbutt to the control panel launched DOZENS of rockets at a handful of targets. At the rate Chris and Coop were going, the battle really likely could not go on much longer. Although if it did, it's not like they're in any danger of running out of ammo... ever.
