Before you ask, yes, it's real diamond, the glass ring comes in later. He got a jeweler to help out.] All I've got is this ring. I'll give it to you for a part of what I bought it for. Just please, help me!

Do you read books at all? A mysterious stranger warning you away is a sure sign that you'd be better off circumventing the plot and starting on the sequel.

If you go around peddling this little trick again, the Watch will have you if the Thieves' Guild doesn't.

[In 50 years, when he dies a rich man despite Susan's predictions to the contrary, he will meet someone who, perhaps, reminds him of a woman he once met on the street long, long ago, with whom he held a rather inane conversation about small intestines and Dibbler's meat pies, or perhaps those were the same things. He may realize then, who it was that he actually met that day.

If fate does not favor Susan, perhaps he will even meet her himself, carrying her Grandfather's scythe atop a white horse.

But that is a long time from now and it seems unlikely that these two will ever cross paths again.]
