[Phone]
[The voice on the phone is giddy, a few steps away from outright hysterical.]
Well. Well! This is interesting. Very interesting. Certainly not where I settled myself down to bed yesterday. No no no. And it's such a sunny day, ahahahah, I haven't seen one of THOSE in...
[She breathes in, then lets out a musical sigh.]
...so am I alone, being so surprised at what a nice day it is? Yes? No? Are there any kindred spirits out there? Any of you? Aaaaanyone?
Don't be shy!
[Action - Around Town]
[How did she end up as part of the Mayfield Ladies' Club? The note in her mailbox was far too pink and sweet for her tastes, and really, no club involving that much neighborly comfort and concern was anything that Natalie ought to have been involved with. But it's important to play along with this poppycock, so here she is, at your door with a pie and a trying-too-hard smile.]
Hello, neighbor! Are you not well? Do you want to chat?
[That smile has too many teeth. Her eyes are a bit too wide. But the pie smells nice.]

Hello, neighbor! Are you not well? Do you want to chat?
[That smile has too many teeth. Her eyes are a bit too wide. But the pie smells nice.]

The front door opens and he's a dark figure looming in the doorway trying to look intimidating. When he sees her, his eyes go wide and he grabs her, pulling her inside the doorway and hugs her very tightly.
"NATALIE! You're here too! Who did this to us? Are you okay? How are we able to be in the sun? I'm hungry and I need to feed but I don't have any of my powers, do you? Why does that pie actually look good? I haven't had pie in ages."
no subject
Hwah!
[She's patting at his back with one arm, and squirming with the rest of herself, torn between joy and terror.]
S-Sandoval! SANDOVAL! Oh, you're really... that's... I have no idea, absolutely no idea but...
...pie?
[She pulls away. She settles on an emotion. Giddy, genuine joy.]
You can have some pie! We can both have pie! All the pie!
no subject
Is that blood pie? Please tell me that you hacked someone into little pieces and stuffed the good bits in there. I'm so hungry, it's like I haven't eaten in forever!
no subject
It's cherry. Just cherry. I'm human, Sandoval.
[Then she reaches out and pokes him in the chest.]
You are, too.
That's why we're not on fire right now.
no subject
Of all the things to accuse me of, you accuse me of being human? Oh what a sad day this is to be something I don't respect. Whomever did this to me will PAY DEARLY.
He brings up a clenched fist all villain style.
no subject
[She rolls her eyes, then tries to stride on past him, into his house.]
Eat some pie, Sandoval. Just... eat some pie, will you?
no subject
Did you bake this? I guess I need to re-learn some life skills such as cooking. Last thing I cooked were those candy canes a few years ago.
no subject
I did, I did! It wasn't hard. There were crust instructions on the shortening box. The filling came from a can.
[She returns with two small plates, two forks, and a knife.]
Did you ever cook for yourself? Before everything? Did you, Sandoval?
no subject
Me cook? I used a microwave pretty good.
no subject
Assuming the pie is handed back over, she will cut a slice for each of them.]
Ah, microwaves... bit of a bachelor cook, were you? Mmm, I guess you could learn... but they've probably stuck you with a wife that's all too happy to make your meals!
...
Unless she's a real person. Then you'll have to negotiate it out.
no subject
Why would I? I could just chain her to the kitchen and force her to do my bidding if she doesn't give in to my will.
no subject
[Then a bit of pie goes into her mouth, and it's chewed and swallowed in a very human fashion.]
With the fake ones, I mean. You can do anything to the fake ones and they'll hardly give a damn. I'd be careful doing it to the real ones.
no subject
I don't care about these people. It's not like she'd be expecting it anyways. Even without my vigor, there's not many people that could take me in a fight. Especially a woman.
no subject
You haven't met some of the ladies here.
[Then! Sudden cheerfulness!]
You should meet some of the ladies here! They're fiesty.
no subject
Maybe... I want to get settled in. Then I want to start hunting.
no subject
[She taps the side of her head with her fork, then it's back down to her plate, scooping up more pie.]
You go all "drone". That's what they call them. "Drones". All happy-happy fifties fun. They'll do it to us, they will. They'll do it to anyone.
no subject
I ... DON'T ... LIKE ... THIS.
no subject
We're not supposed to like it.... It's a prison. Some people even call it hell.
no subject
You're a good cook. If you weren't like a sister, I'd chain you up here and make you cook.
no subject
[There's that toothy grin again, one that would flash fangs, had she any fangs to flash.]
I'm sure you'll find that special someone to chain up in the kitchen someday.
no subject
You know me, I like to eat new people. MWA HA HA HA HA HA!
His laugh is just as evil and sadistic sounding as ever.
Re: [Phone]
It's a nice day, but I don't think you'll find it as nice once you know where you are.
[Phone]
I'm already skeptical. I'm already concerned. Where is this lovely, lovely, impossible place?
Re: [Phone]
I'm sure of it, anyways... From what I've been told we're trapped in America with no real way to get back home.
Re: [Phone]
Who is here? Who and what? From where? Ahahah, I'm just all over the place, but it really just comes down to who my neighbors are.
It's important to know your neighbors!
Re: [Phone]
From what I've gathered, your neighbors are most likely going to be people who tell you you've been here the entire time. They're something like robots, so you can ignore them. Anyone who is self aware of the situation is someone you should look out for, because we have to stick together if we're going to get out. Uhm... this is all I know so far.
[Phone]
[Then back to sweetness.]
If we're going to stick together, I should know who I'm sticking to, mmm...
