Arturia is on a quest for Anemoi in the deep woods, Excalibur at her side and a growing sense of urgency as she searches. She has with her many allies, but one in particular is getting to her with a very peculiar habit of theirs. t says something about Arturia's patience that it takes well over a few hours before she turns to that person [the replying character] and asks in a tense yet polite tone:

"Why are you following me and clapping coconut halves together?"

Seriously, the argument about fighting with fresh fruit versus pointy sticks right before they set out was a lot more bearable than this.

[Arturia looks very annoyed as the video feed begins. Behind her is the restaurant she frequented regularly, known for having some of the best food in all of Sirocco. It's also known as Arturia's favorite restaurant and where she could easily be found when she wasn't busy working.

There is now a very prominent 'Out of Business' sign across the double doors leading into it.

Heads are going to roll.

Despite how annoyed she looks, her voice is very cool and collected as she speaks.]

Who is responsible for this travesty? This establishment was getting a good deal of business from myself and others. There was no need for it to shut its doors and I demand answers if not the immediate reopening of this business!

[3: The Obligatory Shounen-style Fight Sequence]

[It could be a friendly duel, a training session, a misunderstanding, or a befriending. It doesn't matter what the reason is. You are now in a fight with one (1) Arturia Pendragon AKA King Arthur AKA Servant Saber.

Her might with a sword is almost at Dragonball levels. Do you really think you can stand a chance?]

But it seems Marik has some kind of luck since Arturia's invisible blade stops just centimeters from his throat and she looks up at him, completely nonplussed. There is no point in going further or seeing this as a trick. He tries to pull something she can easily decapitate him.]

Marik simply hitches his breath a bit, as a couple of beads of sweat roll down his face. Christ, woman. That is so dang close.]

Yes, really. [And he holds his hands up as if to defend himself.] And I won't stoop to trickery. Honest.

[Malfunctioning or someone decided to monkeywrench it.

Arturia takes his body language as a sign he's either a really good actor or, because her mun is in more of a comedy mood at the moment, he's telling the truth. So she straightens herself and backs her blade away from his throat.]

Unfortunately anyone who knows her, even subconsciously, can probably tell she's this close to hunting someone down and murdering them. The girl take food seriously, after all.]

Maybe they made a bad investment, and had to close down because they lost too much money.

Maybe that wasn't the bad investment. They could have invested in something else, and when it tanked, they lost too much money to keep the restaurant open.

I suppose so. But then why not have someone else invest in the restaurant to keep its doors open?

I suppose so, but a bit of warning would have been the polite thing to do.

Okay, crack aside, she'll calm down once the initial surprise of the place closing down is over. For now? Her alignment is Lawful Food.]

I'm sure the owner will tell me once I get in contact with him.

[Her seriousness changes a bit. While she's still annoyed, it's a bit more subdued.]

We've known each other for a currently unknown amount of time. In the time we remember knowing each other as well as our time here: do you honestly believe I would not be reasonable to him once I speak with him? Especially considering that once I've found him I will have calmed down considerably?

[You haven't remembered what he's remembered, Saber. And he remembers getting the hell beaten out of him because he was too busy helping Rin spy on some gold-haired, red-eyed stranger outside the Matou house to cook you dinner.]

I just know that you can get very upset when denied good food.

[And she remembers beating the hell out of him to make him get stronger and being cooked dinner when she asked and Rin not going with them on recon.

[Fast forward fifteen minutes on the nose. Arturia is knocking on the front door, if a bit harder than she normally would knock on a friend's door.]

[Shirou is busy in the kitchen, though he's just putting the finishing touches on the meal.]

[Arturia lets herself in and, believing they know each other well enough, settles herself down at the table just outside the kitchen.]

Thank you for making dinner for me.

[WAITS.

Ever so impatiently. FoodfoodfoodFOOOOOOOD!]

[And soon enough, Shirou is setting plates of delicious food on the table. He sits on the opposite side.]

Dinner is served.

Enthusiastically, but she isn't necessarily shoveling it in. Courtly manners and all that. This isn't the battlefield where they have to eat whatever they can get however they can get it, after all.

This is a meal Shirou had made for her, taken time to prefer. It'd be a crime not to enjoy it properly.]

[Well, at least her opponent is willing to acknowledge her skills, which means he's willing to take the battle seriously. Arturia rises to her feet, holding her sword in front of her with both hands on the hilt, feet apart and her stance low.]

As are your own. Tell me: Are we here to talk or are we here to fight?
