[ Winry was just minding her own business when she crossed Ed's doppelganger.

Oh god wait aren't those things bad luck or something? As if the concept of a double Edward wasn't enough to send shivers down her spine... That's definitely a curse. Two Eds equal one major curse! ]

G-gah--- I mean, uh, hey? You uh new here? [ Approaching cautiously. She's trying to be polite, but sorry. It's not working. ]

[There's certainly a kind of flinch when she addresses him directly, because, well, a comment like that usually means he screwed up somewhere.]

Theee grocery store...? Where you buy food? Do you not have one where you're from..?

Like... a market? [Except there's really a difference there, he can tell, even if he doesn't know what the difference is.]

Yeah, like a market! It's a big building that sells food, and sometimes other things as well. But it's not always as fresh as a real market would be, I guess. You'll see when we get there!

Right now, though, he's looking around, interested in, well, pretty much every single thing in Mayfield. Absolutely nothing looks like it did back home. The only even slightly familiar thing were the people (people are people, no matter what), but they're still all foreigners, no one with Xerxian hair or eyes.]
