[Adam's sitting at the top of a building, just watching the city stretch into the distance. The rushing headlights of cars, the shimmering buildings.]
I've never had a chance to see something like this before... are cities always this impressive when night falls?
[He seems to be hypnotized by the view, though its hard to tell with the faceplate he has on.]
I always thought humans were amazing for surviving everything they did in their history... I think I have another reason to think so after seeing this.
[2]
[Its a fight! There's enemies everywhere and Adam's backing you up. His machine takes bad hit to the side - staggering it. For a moment you hear a hiss of pain over the comms, but it seems to be stifled as the Halcyon charged at the enemy, letting loose an acrobatic leap at the last second - hooking its legs around the offending enemy and swinging it in a spinning arc into the ground - delivering several rapid kicks at any foes close by.]
They are ... quite numerous it seems...
[The machine - and its pilot unconciously brush at where the hit landed.]
How do you fare?
[3]
I don't understand the point of this...
[Adam is watching you cluelessly during your leisure time. Like a 'slow' puppy watching his owner relax and watch the game on the TV, he's trying to figure out what exactly are your reasons for doing this.]
[Whether it be Pinata building, just getting sloshed, watching a cheesy movie or playing video games or anything else - he will have absolutely no idea what's going on - despite your best efforts to get him involved.]
[Will you try to enlighten him?]

Huh?
Oh, I guess so...Honestly, I just like the quiet up here.
Re: 1
It would be hard to find quiet amongst other humans wouldn't it? Your kind always seems to make large amounts of noise when they are in large numbers.
Re: 1
[She stops talking, but keeps staring at that faceplate.]
...
no subject
[Any other being would raise an eyebrow here. Adam just stares cluelessly.]
Is there something amiss?
no subject
[She reaches up and touches the faceplate, rubbing it gently.]
no subject
[For some very odd reason this has actually happened to Adam before. But he has no idea of what exactly Sophia's reason is. Or if he should use the phrase that he was asked to say the last time this happened.]
no subject
It doesn't feel...weird, or anything?
no subject
I did not understand why though... nor did I understand her mate requesting for me to say the words "I am the cutest puppy in the whole wide world" the next time she did.
no subject
[Sophia backs away, laughing.]
Pft! Really!
no subject
[He was... completely serious. There was absolutely no indication of falsehood anywhere.]
Additionally after saying those exact words, my benefactor introduced me to the physical contact humans call 'hugs'. She proceeded to interact with me further like I was a form of domesticated animal - or as others have observed - human offspring.

[Lt. Ootori's in her good ol' knightly armor, posing like a boss. And then...something happens, and a harpoon zizags through a good half the enemy armors.]
Though...our guests just keep on turning into corpses! I wonder why.
no subject
[And the Halcyon is just pointing at the weapon that keeps murdering every enemy present before just lowering its hand.]
And I do not think that this is a celebration of any sort... unless the information on human celebrations I was given was flawed.
no subject
I'm having a party.
no subject
[The Halcyon takes this time to let loose several sweep-kicks across the ground. Given that their enemies are smaller than it... the results are mixed really. Some get away, some are sent flying not under their own power from the massive impact of a rapidly moving 35-meter machine. Additionally he seems to have missed the point as well.]
Do all your parties usually involve large amounts of death and wanton destruction?

[Plutia on the other hand, suddenly throws that plush doll she's holding onto the ground.]
But...they're getting really annoying...
[She proceeds to stomp said doll. Repeatedly. What's amazing is that four of the enemies seem to be responding to this. It's almost like voodoo as they're gradually crushed, and with one final stomp, the four are flattened and completely explode.]
If this keeps up...

no subject
[She glares at the remaining enemies. Clearly, something's got this girl miffed.]
But there are so many...and I...was in the middle of a nap...!
[Wait what? That's a pretty bright glow around her now. Before long, she's engulfed by a pink pillar surrounded by blue binary code!]
no subject
[And he cuts himself off at the sight of the massive pillar. Well... that was unexpected.]
no subject
Aah~! This is much, much better!
[A winged woman steps out a few seconds later, carrying what appears to be a curved sword, crackling with electricity, which she uses to defend herself against several incoming projectiles. To make it worse, she has one hell of a sadistic smile as her eyes fall upon the enemy.]
So my usual method to relieve stress wasn't all too effective. That means...I'll be counting on all of you for entertainment!
[She glances over at the Halcyon for a moment.]
And to answer your question, dear Adam...it's simply unforgivable. Make note of it- this is precisely why you mustn't interrupt a lady's beauty sleep.
Now...!
[The woman blows a kiss in the direction of the hostiles. The small heart that appears transforms into a pink ring that unleashes a series of homing lasers upon the foes - destroying several and scattering the rest! It's an opening to make use of, if you choose to!]

[The cyborg ninja speeds across the ground, literally trailing lightning as he deflects countless bullets heading his way.
Once he gets close enough to one of the large enemies, it tries to swing an axe in his direction. Big mistake. Packing way more power than any regular cyborg would, Raiden parries the gigantic blade and proceeds to grab it, pulling the entire enemy unit around.
He does this with relative ease, smashing the enemy in his grasp into several others around him, before leaping above the piled foes and unleashing a barrage of slashes as he flies through the air. To the untrained eye, it would appear as a single slash, but with the effect of many more!
Afterwards, he lands some distance away, the sliced opponents exploding behind him.]
...How many more on your side?
no subject
A quick incantation and several enemies are chained down - and soon sliced apart by a series of blade-edged kicks!]
Several. I believe we haven't even taken a quarter of their numbers.
no subject
Heh, they're trying pretty hard, then. No better time to up the ante.
[He activates his AR visor, which completely covers his face.]
Let's split. Take 'em from the sides.
no subject
I understand.
[With that the Halcyon breaks into a frantic run to interceptthe attacking group's flank - interestingly enough, throughout the entire time Adam launched his furious attack he had not once made to draw the sword on his machine's back - in a way, one could say he was denying his blade its purpose.]
no subject
At one point, he gets a bit too deep and is surrounded by three of the enemy machines. They simultaneously swing down their blades, and he responds by raising his own sword above his head, blocking all three of them! The ground beneath him cracks, but his sword is alright, and so is he!
That won't be the case for long at this rate though.]
Shit...!
no subject
[Adam is distracted a moment by the sight and takes a bad hit - the Halcyon skids off the ground for a moment before it manages to kick back onto its feet... and carefully grasp its blade.]
...No...
[Another incantation and the Halcyon punches its hands forwards - several chains lashing out to grab at the blades - and the arms holding them and pull them away from Raiden - incidentally this left Adam open to several attacks - hurting him pretty badly in the process.]
Nngh.. Raiden. You must move!.. .Quickly!
no subject
[The damage Halcyon was taking meant that Raiden wouldn't have much time to act. Good thing his speed was nothing to scoff at.
He slashes off the legs of one of the machines that attacked him, then uses the falling torso to springboard towards the Halcyon. The first thing he does? Aim a lightning-covered kick through the cockpit of the closest enemy! That should give Adam some room to breathe, but the damage is already done.]
Dammit! Adam! How're you holding up?
no subject
[Injury may have been putting it lightly - the Halcyon's aforementioned arm is barely even there - massive chunks taken out of it to the point it wouldn't take very much to remove it completely. Adam's own voice was rather strained as well. Raiden may have the good fortune to have pain suppressors - but Adam on the other hand, for all his regenerative capabilities, still feels each and every blow.]
I am still combat capable, you haven't taken any damage?
no subject
That last parry ripped a good chunk of my artificial muscle fibers. But other than that, I'm fine.
I know what it's like not to have any pain suppression, and your machine makes you take the full brunt of it. If you can't continue, pull back.
no subject
[Adam was going to steady himself. If Raiden could handle it, so could he.]
no subject
Alright then.
Let's make use of what we've got. I know you don't want to use that sword, but you're still fast enough, and if you need it, I can cover for that missing arm of yours.
no subject
[Speed... He can do that. Within moments he's rushing through the enemy lines again, lacking one usable arm though he's concentrating solely on footwork - delivering bladed kick after kick as he could manage - vaulting over one opponent before sweeping both legs around it - decapitating its comrades before pulling it to the ground!]

We're pretty strong people and we have to remember that every day. Especially since there are a lot who want to take advantage of it all.
no subject
I am glad for the chance to see so much of the good...
