[There's an echo hovering above you as you approach what appears to be a vacant alleyway. Before you realize it, black flags with an emblazened pirate skull eject out from behind numerous boxes and trash cans. The laughter grows louder, closer, chilling in its authority.

Finally, he appears..!

Atop a wire fence stands the mighty Captain Usopp. With his arms crossed confidentally over his chest, he stares down from his perch with a mighty grin on his mighty face (save his not-so mighty looking long nose).]

"HOLD THERE, TRESSPASSER! YOU'RE TREADING ON THE TERRITORY OF THE GREAT AND POWERFUL CAPTAIN USOPP, AND CAPTAIN USOPP IS STANDING RIGHT BEFORE YOU! My army of 8,000 followers, all at the ready in this alley way, will strike you down if you wish to make ONE MORE STEP closer!"

B.)
[There's a sudden din from the distance down the road behind you. A long and shrill scream is coming, growing closer with every passing second. In the distance, all you can see is a dense cloud of dust rising from the beaten path. Soon, a figure comes in to view. An almost marionette looking man seems to be charging with all his might toward you. His arms are flailing above his head, crying out as tears stream from his eyes.]

"THE PIRATES ARE COMING! EVERY ONE, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!"

[Instantly, all of the flags drop and hit the pavement. The handles of the flags look to have been attached with weak-adhesive tape. It's a wonder they had stayed on there for as long as they had.]

[Usopp jumps down from the fence, landing with a graceful tumble as he hits the pavement in a slump.

Coming quick to his feet, he extends an arm to a pointed finger, directing towards the woman with an accusing glare.]

"HEY HEY! No pictures! Besides, the great Captain Usopp would look much better on canvas, don't'cha' think?"

[The girl with the creepy umbrella was just strolling along and minding her own business, when suddenly this guy jumps out and starts yelling.]

[She screams, immediately dropping into a crouching position and holding it in front of her defensively.]

I'm sorry, Captain Usopp! Please don't beat me up!

[He raises a thumb to his chest, poking himself in the heart as he fluffed his over-blown ego.]

"I might be a fearsome pirate, young lady, but Captain Usopp has his merciful points! If ya' wanna' live, you've gotta' join my crew.. THE USOPP PIRATE BRIGADE!"

B-but I'm already friends with a captain! I don't think she's a pirate captain, though. And she's not really my captain, just my friend. Actually, I don't know if she's anyone's captain anymore.

"HEY! Do you wanna' live or not?!

I don't care if this lady you know is a captain or not! I bet she isn't as brave as me, Captain Usopp! Has she fought against monster sized mole people? Has this woman sailed across a fish poop island? Ha! Don't make me laugh! I, Captain Usopp, have done all of these amazing things!"

[Striking all of the confident poses. For a man wearing overalls and a bandana, he seems pretty sure of himself.]

[And just like that, she's cowering again.]

N-no, I don't think Murasa's done any of that! She's just a ghost captain who sails a flying ship!

"A FLYING SHIP?!"

[Clearing his throat and feeling his heart drop back into his chest, the aspiring Pirate reaches a hand high above his head, grinning proudly at the cowering young girl.]

"Ha~! Captain Usopp knows all about Flying Ships! Haven't you heard about Brave Captain Usopp's daring escape from the Magnificent Kingdom in the sky?!"

[To say Celty is surprised by the sudden display of flags and the loud man on the fence is an understatement. Izaya had told her that there was someone who was causing some big ruckus in this part of town and there was some money in investigating and stopping it, but a screaming homeless man is not quite what she was expecting.

Her immediate response is to just take a shocked step backwards.]

[Oh? A rather tough looking lass was trespassing!]

"Ha! That's right! Shake and quiver with fear as you look upon the mighty and brave Captain Usopp! My 10,000 men have you in their sights, ready to shoot at my signal!

[Celty looks around. She can't see anyone at all. No one in the alley, it doesn't look like there's anyone on the roofs, and she doesn't see any laser sights or anything.

She squats slightly and holds her hands out, shadows forming into a pitch black scythe. If she really IS cornered, she's certainly going to fight her way out.]

"AIYEE!"

[Usopp's legs begin to quiver, as if an earthquake decided to strike under where he stood.]

"D-D-D-D-Do your worst, cur!"

[In an instant, Usopp disappeared.. Reappearing upon a fire escape a few stories above the alley.]

"Captain Usopp ALWAYS prepares the best backup for his men!"

[Celty cocks her helmet again and then looks around. She can't see where any of this backup is. He's clearly drunk. Oh well, no harm in spooking him.

She lashes her hand out at him and suddenly her shadow surges up the walls of the alley towards the fire escape.]

[He immediately holds his hands out in defense, shaking them back and forth like a cat frantically swaying its tail.]

"NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO! IF.. IF YOU COME ANY CLOSER.. I'LL.. I'LL DROP THE USOPP HAMMER!"

[The lump in his throat falls into the pit of his stomach as he comes up with a reply.]

"They're.. They're dwarves, obviously! Angry, fire wielding dwarves! Captain Usopp employs only the BEST fighters, and every one knows the best fighters are dwarves!!"

I'm sorry to say that I have to pass through here and I have little time. I'd prefer not to engage you and your men but if you are keen on not letting me pass without a fight I will.

(Ume takes that one step Usopp warned her about while drawing a few throwing knives.)
